Wonder if this could mean PS is thinking of doing something like a "supplemental computing device" for PS5. Build the console so you can slide in a specific PS made AMD graphics card. Similar to upgrading the hard drive. Sell the console with a worthwhile CPU, and pair it with a mid range GPU at launch. Then PS offers the new graphics card every two years for say $200. Just slide the old one out, and slide the new one in. Auto download the necessary software and your good to go.

PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.
