I'm the opposite. Bring on the ports.
Mario Maker, Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad, Zelda: Oot/MM (3DS uprezzed to 1080P), Zelda: WWHD, Zelda: TP HD, Kid Icarus Uprising (1080p) on Switch would be just fine.
It DOESN'T interfere with new game development guys, get over that, these ports can be handled by small groups of people even younger employees that are earning their stripes and a lot of people did not get a chance to play these games or enjoy these games that having portable HD versions of them has value.
Nintendo should also IMO stop dicking around with the drip, drip, Virtual Console. I want ALL possible NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GB, GBA, DS, and 3DS games available on the eShop.
Not just like "oh here's a few DS/3DS favorites" ... no I mean I want every damn game released on those systems available digitally on Switch, I'm talking thousands of games. Genesis/Neo Geo/Dreamcast can join in too.
Nintendo should bring all these games to the Switch/Nvidia Tegra infastructure, that way they can be available for years and years for people to enjoy. Enough of this half assed eShop bullshit, the eShop on Switch should be a one stop shop to basically buy almost any game on a Nintendo platform made in the last 30 years, much like on STEAM you can buy anything from old ass PC games right to the most recent releases.
