Did you really think capcom is channelling all the sales profit from MH series into the MH series itself? Dragon's dogma with AAA budget failed to meet capcom expactation they created that bomba by using the Monster hunter's series profit sales and they, they bought 2 buildings with Monster hunter 4 profit sales to expand mobile game division. 

Monster Hunter budget is tiny compared to other capcom games like SF, DD and RE and yet the MH graphics on 3ds still looks better than 100 ps3 jrpgs

MH sells enough to justify production values that aren't 2-3 generations out of date. There are Dreamcast games that look better than MH 3DS.
