Like I said in the other thread, the game is review-proof. People know what they're getting.

USFII is kind of like Switch on a smaller scale. Its appeal is still outside the comprehension of the hardcore gaming enthusiast. Forum posters like us think, "oh it's only three bucks on PS3 or X360" or "it's a port of a 26-year-old game."

What we fail to understand is that millions of people never owned a PS3 or X360, and many of them are excited about playing the final version of an iconic game that captured their imaginations as kids.

We've been under the spell of the "AAA" gaming machine for too long.

You nailed it. That's why I hate when people on foruns claim that games like 1-2-Switch and Skylanders are trash. I mean, is our vision soooo limited? Can't we see that different games appeal to different people? I hope more people come to realize this.

If people haven't realized it then, especially during the Wii/DS era where Wii Sports, Brain Age, Cooking Mama, and Wii Fit (which weren't bad games btw, for the most part) were all the rage, it would be funny to see people finally realize it now.

Video games, like any media, can be attractive for a variety of audiences due to the variety of games. Retro, casual, hardcore, competitive, online, single player, parties, etc.

i do fine it interesting seeing USFII, despite being mix of an enhanced port with the remix coinciding with the retro and a new mode and two new clones, find its way in the charts like that on Amazon, which is basically the biggest marketplace in the world right now.
