What is nonsense, borderline insane, is you defending garbage. You're telling me right now it's ok for the game to have a shit battle system because other games do too? That's a pathetic excuse. Not to mention a horrible way to run a business. Yes, would you say the same if Zelda had gone "by the books" with Breath of the Wild too? Make it a standard open world game like Skyrim with stiff combat, glitches galore, and fetch quests that are almost all identical? Or would you prefer what they actually did, saw the flaws of open world games and changed things. Just because a bar is set low doesnt mean you put zero effort into something. In an RPG, one of the most important things is a battle system. In fact it may just be the most important thing. I've played hundreds of good and bad RPGs, and right now I can tell you -Color Splash is a sorry excuse of an RPG because of its battle system. Being marginally better than Sticker Star doesnt cut it. I'm sorry, but when something is shit, Im going to call it out because thats how things get done. Being 'okay' with everything a company shits out will just ensure future mediocrity. This isnt a standard I hold to Nintendo, but all game developers

Come off the BS I don't care whether anyone likes the game or not your earliar post is complete bullocks I'm not going to sugar coat it because you're opinion is personally invested into bashing the game. You claim that a flawed battle system makes the entire game bad when that isn't true at all RPGS for most part have average or so battle systems the whole turn base department is often derided by a lot of gamers.

Where RPGS have always been most important is the integration of the story to the player's role and this doesn't hinge on battle sytems, the overall execution of it is what makes rpgs good. Morrowind is one of the best RPGs made but had a problematic battle system but it excelled in many other things.

That's how opinions work, broski. If I think its shit because the battle system is garbage, I will call it as such. And again, you regurgitate that because the bar is low, it means Nintendo should not put any effort in because other devs do. Fuck that. I ain't letting Nintendo off the hook because its Nintendo. That is the only reason youre defending the game. I dont know why youre so keen on trying to defend trash with trash. You do see the issue, right? The fact you have to say "well its not as bad as this!" is a sign that the game is not up to par. You know the game is good when you get to say, "Man this game is as good as". If youre on the defensive then your game is flawed. The game sucks.

Using a game from however many years prior to defend a game from past year isnt good. Plus youre comparing a turn based RPG to an open world RPG. Compare it to a turn based one from recent times (after 2010).
