If the Consoles and Handhelds grow, then the market will grow, if they go more niche, and do not offer basic hardware and OS features the market will shrink.
If all three manufacturers expand their ecosystems to portable and mobile devices, then there is a huge oppertunity for growth. I also see a massive growth potential with VR as long as it is not restricted to just games and entertainment.
All three manufacturers are in good position right now. They are building scalable platforms and ecosystems which should allow them to grow. Expanding beyond the static hardware, and traditional form factors have the potential to bring gaming hardware back to the levels it was at in gen 7 or very likely even greater levels. It all rests in how much money and marketshare each company wants. Hopefully, they all have the goal of being number 1.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
