Yes, and Switch its still otsold 2.5 monts after launch on most markets despite PS4/XB1. You need to realise that Switch like hybrid and great and must have games like Zelda BotW and MK8D have own value compared to PS4/XB1.

Even from consumer point, it's obvious that Switch is selling great and actually better than Nintendo expected, and Nintendo cant still keep up with demand for Switch, so there is no reason for price cut in 1st year on market. Also Switch will release two more huge system sellers this year, Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey, that will keep up with momentum and demand.

And you need to realise, that sales wont stay great forever.

Its a new system so its still in the honeymoon phase, the hardcore nintendo fans are a big % of the early adopters.

At some point, most of those guys will have a system. Then its a matter of getting the non hardcore nintendo fans, and others out there.

I think by Holidays Nintendo should have cut prices by 50$ and bundled a game.

PS4 being 100$ cheaper & bundled with say "Uncharted 4" or "Horizon Zero Dawn"... its too much a differnce, the non nintendo fan will skip the system.

They arnt nessarily looking for nitnendo games, they are open to trying any brand, and just go for whats cheaper, what games does it come with, becuase they want something to play (or a gift for the kids ect).

If nintendo can figour out how to get production up, and want to try and sell alot, they should cut prices 50$ and bundle a game, for the holidays.

Of Course they will not stay forever, but fact that is console that breaks record in terms of Nintendo consoles sales, that 2.5 months after launch Nintendo sell immediately everything they can deliver, that doesnt seems that sales will slow down any time soon, tells us that Switch will have at least very good sales this year and that there is no any need for price cut this year.

Wii U and 3DS definitely did not had such a demand, actually only Wii had such a demand if we talk about sales. We are now 2.5 months after launch, so honeymoon period is over but there is still great demand for Switch on market andmore system sellers games are coming, that wasn't case for Wii U and 3DS.

Well that's your opinion that only hardcore Nintendo fans are buying Switch, I saw plenty of people who are not at all Nintendo fans and they purchased or they looking to buy Switch.

Again, there is no need for price cut this year if sales are good, and actual Switch selling better than Nintendo thought it will sell with same price point. Again, you need to realise that Switch like hybrid and great and must have games like Zelda BotW and MK8D have own value compared to PS4/XB1. You cant play Zelda BotW on PS4 in handheld mode, you cant play MK8D on PS4 on to go in multiplayer out of box. Not evre person wants PS4 and PS4 at holiday season PS4 will be 4 years on market, while Switch is new, exasting and very difrent console that has great games you cant play on PS4/XB1. So when you talk about Switch you cant say "just go for whats cheaper" because Switch is very different console with different capabilities, possibilities and games, "just go for whats cheaper" can work if you choose between XB1 and PS4 because they gave basically same experience.

We had info that after initial demand and sales Nintendo decided to double Switch production from 8m to 16m for this year, but doubling production cant be done short time, it requires time. But for now, we know that Nintendo is shipping around 50k Switch consoles every week in Japan (its being sold out every week), so that would be mean around 150k for Europe and US combine evre week, so that basically means that Nintendo currently is shipping around 800k-1m consoles per month. Again, why they would need to make $50 price cut if its selling great!? Doesnt make any sense, buy your point is only because PS4/XB1 are cheaper, but Switch is selling great despite they are cheaper, because it has own value compared to them.
