Sure. Nintendo can make the strongest piece of hardware if they want. But why should they bother? 3rd party games don't sell on Nintendo systems, and they won't magically start selling because they're hardware is just a copy of MS/Sony's system. They can sell their own games with high profits from software + hardware the way they do things right now, why change the plan?
We also have to wait how the current 3rd party games scheduled for the Switch do. I'm confident Skyrim will do pretty well, but I'm more interested in how FIFA and NBA 2k17 sell.
