3DS and vita were released during the 7th generation (ps4, wiiu and xbox one were not out). so that would then make the switch (releasing along side wiiu, ps4 and xbox one) an 8th gen console.

So both DS and 3DS are 7th gen consoles? And the Wii U also since it realeased during the 7th generation (PS4 and Xbox One were not out) I don't understand, I say we for got about generations all together and just focus on what's out
