Went to see it with some mates, similar story to OP about my lack of partner to movies lol, but yeah 9 years married instead of GF, what can you do eh?
As for guardians two, what the fuck that was some of the best film I've seen in years if not ever, the Soverign with the blue carpet being rolled across a planet had me in tears... the part where Drax said for Mantis to "watch out" after the rock... jesus I almost spat some of my drink on the person sitting in front of us.
Hope this goes on to break records at the BO because it damn well deserves to.
I have to say though, I was just watching thinking that right now there is a bunch of execs in suits from DC sat in a viewing of that, all with clip boards out trying to take notes on how to make a movie that feels alive or that you care about, I wouldn't be half surprised if we see Wonderwoman reshoots in the next few weeks where they add in a bunch of scenes with her being torn between 2 fathers or where they give her a side kick robot prairie dog or something...
That dig at the Zune though, hats off to MS for allowing that brand be used in the film, good sports :)
