Why buy a 300$ entertainment product if you're not sure you'll enjoy it? That seems very short-sighted to me. I never dive into purchases in that price range without knowing what I'm getting into. As for Switch, or any other console for that matter, I always wait at least one year and find that they have much higher value for money, less problems, more software and everything is a little bit cheaper.
So, OP; think twice before you buy things like consumer electronics on impulse.
