Whilst annoying, if you perform clean, accurate presses, you will have no issues.

Normally rest my thumb on the dpad and slide it around, that's why I get the drops in Tetris (dpad up) while playing. Never had problems with Gameboy, NES, SNES, DS, Wii, WiiU... till now.
