What potential? The overall 2017 line up is embarassing. Every Switch owner will end up with the same few games (full-priced port MK8, Splatoon 2, Mario Odyssey). There's no variety for different types of gamers. I'm a big Nintendo fan myself but I see absolutely no reason to buy it now.

I think the hype around the concept of Switch is what made many people buy the system so early without looking at the software line-up. They are destined to be disappointed when they realize the droughts take months with a few indie-games in between which are cheaper and with better performance on the other home-consoles.

Yeah, the Switch will only get 3 Nintendo games and a few indies this whole year. Sounds about right. And Splatoon, Mario Kart and Odyssey are also the same genre. No variety there.

Haven't you heard, you can release hundreds of games on your console in one year and people will still claim it has no games. It happened to PS4 2015. Strange thing is that most of the people making those cliams has less games to play on than their console of choice.

Jokes aside, I think Switch will suffer from lack of 3rd party support when relatively comparing it to PS4 or even Xbox One but 1st party support should be strong. I think HintHRO makes a good point
