ya the low attach rate along with the system selling out kinda shows that the majority of launch owners didn't want it so bundling it wouldn't have done anything.

I think it's good that Nintendo get the message early this gen that it's definitely not the Wii/DS type audience, but that's OK. You can have success with other audiences, and that's exactly what Switch is doing. 

Marketing during the Super Bowl, NCAA Basketball Finals in a sophisticated way and have a big time core game like Zelda can sell systems too.
