Wow, unless you're talking about FXAA this is almost as bad as the people that say "The human eye can't see above 30fps!".
Also those developers don't "opt out" of AA because they think Jaggies are better, Platinum Games had two AA solutions in the Nier: Automata port for PC for instance. It's a question of power.
They just prioritize other visual elements, like the vast majority of developers. Decent AA is a rarity on any console.
