For collectors it's no hassle whatsoever, it's something to be proud of. Unless they become hardup for money or lose all interest in video games they probably wouldn't even sell them when value skyrockets, it's more about having something special as part of your collection. Have you never collected anything?

I do collect games, but never opening them is another story. I have some sealed games, but theres a reason for it. If you open a game, you still own the game.
