Yeah it definitely is.  It's like the ps2 / ps3 situation again where ps2 continued to sell awesome even after the ps3 launch. Ultimately the 3DS is still getting good support so many are still buying it. 

3DS is baselining around 20k ... nothing the write home about. GBA continued to sell for a while after the DS too, we know how that turned out.
