Honestly far better than most of the plans and motivations of the other marvel villains tbqh, who are just down right 1 dimensional and stupid.

But still he wanted to divide the avengers and made them pay for what they did. Why not just send that video to Tony and let the avengers screw themselves. It didn't take a masterplan to do that.
