Thunderblight Ganon pisses me off with his third phase every time. I had the pleasure of finishing him for both my kids as well. That last phase is pure random garbage. Once you get hit it becomes a mess with his slow ragdoll recovery. He moves so fast while the camera tuns so slow it's hard to keep an eye on him while dodging and evading. A lot of the time he hardly every gives up his immunity so you can deliver the only allowed way to hit him. Then on another attempt the rng finally gives you a break and he's down in two volleys, doesn't feel rewarding at all.

For Death mountain I was already overpowered. I still got stuck on the death mountain one. 5 seconds to get him to phase 2 (38x5 quick shot bow), then nothing. Nothing did anything to him as I had missed the one mechanic that's allowed. (I had a different technique to deal with the death mountain variety octoroks, missed that teaching opportunity) Once I finally figured it out he was down in another 5 seconds. Phased boss battles with enemy immunity suck.

Only the Rio one was slightly enjoyable. It was the first one I did and it was a pretty balanced fight with the flying shooting mechanic and lots of room to manoever. Yet that final fight... The lynels in the castle were 10x more fun to take down. Bigger bosses never increase the fun factor, quite the opposite.

I always feel sorry for the Hinox I met after Thunderblight. Sneak up behind them with a 2 hander, spin attack takes him down half way before he gets up, Urbosa's Fury stun, finish off with a few arrows. They're an endagered species. Silver lynels become a lot easier with that too, while the easier ones never have a chance to hit back. Freeze with stasis+, get Urbosa's fury off just before he hits, keep hitting, climb on his back for a few more hits when he gets up, take some distance when he throws you off and stasis+ should have recovered to repeat the sequence. At least the reward for Thunderblight Ganon is worth it.

You know the worst thing. Was when the lightning rod pillar wouldn't just work, and hit him. The angle was bad, or some other "reason". Than a ton of times he would get hit. But, fall on the TOP platform. Oh, my god, with the cheapness. I swear, the boss even cheated. I attempted a long drawn out fight. With using two handed weapons. I didn't mind. Had a lot of weapons, and shields. So I could break the shield faster. You had to wait for him to hit your shield, 3 times. After he speed dashed. But, if you attempted it after just one or two blocks. He magically avoided. Even though you're doing the SAME SHIT, when he hits you 3 times. I was like...holy hell. I was forced to use spears. That room is unsuited for a boss battle.

I got him down on the floor so you can avoid the laser beams by standing behind a pillar (not too close, still hurts you otherwise). I only managed with a sword, hit on his shield until it breaks than you get a few hits in. Yet to get there you can only evade until his charge runs out for a few seconds and hope you can turn around fast enough, draw your shield in time and that he actually choses to charge you. Most of the time he just throws a few electric charges and goes right back into immunity mode. Don't shoot at him as he'll just charge up immediately. One time he had less than 5% health left yet could not touch him with anything and he refused to rush my shield while not charged up. Then he hit me around my shield somehow, annoying.

And that pillar phase, ugh the camara is so bad while steering that pillar. At least that only requires one hit. Too bad it's almost impossible to see where you are going or if you're too close to another pillar...
