Even if they don't enable it's higher performance modes, the Tegra X2 can run the same stuff the Tegra X1 just at a much lower electrical consumption, so using that chip could bump your battery life to 5-7 hours without basically no fuss.

This is the interesting part because his video explains that the power consumption is the main reason he comes to this conclusion. Switch's power consumption is better than a stock Tegra X1's power consumption. That is exactly what brought me here in the first place.
Could it be a modified Tegra X1 then?

Yeah it is. It's underclocked otherwise a stock X1.
