THe true questions are what are the pre sales? How long is the MGS4 bundle out for? Did that surge of sells for PS3 in Feb and March was only for GTA4, blu ray player or a rush to get the 80gb before they are out of stock and before the announcement of the new bundle. With the Walmart and Best Buy $100 gift card offer, will this push sells even further than before?
The biggest arguement, with any system, is what to play on it. For at least 3 to 5 million people WW, it is MGS4. This is a legit reason to buy a PS3, no matter what people say about other games out for it, this is the only exclusive AAA title that a majority of people believe in. This is one of Sony's big four games that made the PS2 the powerhouse that it was. GTA, Final Fantasy, and Grand Turismo are the other three. GTA series has gone multiplatform and the other two are way off (if we are very lucky) until fall of 2009.
OT, will MGS4 be a system seller. You have to ask wheather or not Halo 3 or Super Mario Galaxy were system sellers. If yea, then yes it a system seller. If not, then no its not.
