The Wii didn't compete with the PS2 or Xbox. If the Switch is 9th Gen, it currently has 100% market share.

Because the Wii came out in 2006 around the time other new consoles launched.

The Switch is competing with the PS4 and XB1 in the sense that Nintendo will need to try to get consumers to buy their console instead of others similar to how the dreamcast competed with the 5th and 6th gen consoles. Then when the PS5 and new versions of the XB1 come out ti will continue to compete with them until Nintendo launches another console.
