I'm frustrated by review/previews because they haven't made it clear how serious previous owners should take these games. Mario Kart 8 - still play it a lot on WiiU, and because of that - I'll pick it up at some point. Hopefully for less than $40 though. But maybe I owe Nintendo something because they gave me Pikmin 3 for free when I first bought MK8 on WiiU. I fear MK8 WiiU online quickly goes extinct with the Switch version. FAST RMX - I liked Fast Racing Neo. I liked it enough to pay another $5 for DLC. Not sure if for $20 there's enough improvements over FRN+DLC to go for RMX. But maybe I'm wrong? I'm just not sure Shovel Knight - I own a physical copy on WiiU, but.... I haven't bothered to play much more than an hour or two of the game. Thought about selling it to upgrade versions. But I guess I could just ... beat the game on WiiU. Lego City - I resisted buying this on WiiU when it finally came to selects. But it's weird to wait for months, years for a $60 to become a $20 - only to buy it close to $60 even as an enhanced version.... |
I will not be re-buying any Wii U games for Switch. I'd rather buy new games than pay twice for stuff I already own. I'd advise everyone to do the same.
You damn sure do not own Nintendo anything. They didn't give you anything for free. They sold you two games for $60. That may be a good deal, but it ain't free. In fact, I'd say Nintendo owes you. They sold you a console, then only supported it for 4 years, and did a poor of it. These days, its reasonable to expect a console to be supported for *at least* 6 years from launch.
