Exact opposite of what every hardcore gamer thinks. Then again, they developed for the 3ds, so it must be astonishing for them

Yup, I think he comparing it with 3DS and Wii U.

On the bright side, many devs won't need powerful hardware. It'll be a bit sad to not get games like Final Fantasy XV, but I don't think it'll be too bad
