You can't definitively claim that one is worse than the other, since there's no such thing as secondary drinking or eating.
They're different issues.

Alcohol is the #1 killer drug out there on a global scale as far as I know. Also even if there is no second hand drinking there are still second hand issues caused by alcoholism. Here in Romania more than half of domestic abuse can be attributed to alcoholism.
