Japan first weeks are pretty consistent across the board. The PSP was really supply constrained too as I recall because Sony kinda rushed it to get it out right at the end of 2004 for Japan if I recall correctly.
Japan will be a good market to watch week 2 and 3 because Nintendo resupplies Japan on a weekly basis most of the time and scalping is not as much of a thing.
