Agree with this. I just don't get it. It's not like there's something preventing people from shopping elsewhere if they don't like Gamestop.

Here's my issue a lot of people don't seem to fucking get through their thick skulls. If Gamestop goes anyway, a lot of communities will not have access to games. At least not easy access. For example, I had an ex who lived near the middle of nowhere in California. There wasn't a big city within 2hrs of where she lived. Sure, there was a Walmart (neighborhood Walmart, btw people), and a few groceries stores here and there. But the only game store within 2hrs of where she lived, was GameStop. She was remote enough that she actually didn't get mail at her house, it was delivered elsewhere due to wherever the hell it was she lived in the desert. So even if she wanted to order online she'd have to go an hour out of her area to her aunt's to get her mail so for some people, GameStop IS important. Not everyone has free access to 10 local mom&pop game stores

Absolutly agree, not just with Gamestop but with retail game sellers. Its an extra option that gamers might loose in the future. Its hypocritical that people are calling for more rivalry between the console manufacturers, but they dont see that the same rivalry is important for distribution models as well.
