And here is where he is being narrowminded, he seems to be against the whole hybrid concept to beging with, that's why he complains about things that are completley logic for an hybrid, and instead of thinking that maybe he just doesn't need an hybrid on his life he actually writes an article on the most visited videogame web of NA exposing this as legitim complains for anyone, this is suposed to be valorated in a neutral way where personal nitpicks have no space, but he cant get pass the fact that this is an hybrid and not a traditional console or hanheld. |
Horseshit. Designing the dock in such a way that it cannot be placed horizontally means it was designed without the consideration of anyone who keeps their consoles in a TV stand. If your setup accomodates that, then wonderful for you, but for millions of people, this will be a pain in the ass. That shows a lack of foresight with Nintendo. See your problem here is that your original bias is that Nintendo knows better than the people using this product, therefore people that find this annoying just aren't using it the right way, or are being obtuse, when in reality, it's a legitmate annoyance that Nintendo dropped the ball on.
Furthermore, I don't know why you think that just because it's a hybrid, the reviewer has to be willing to accept what he considers a poorer experience in each game play mode than he knows it would be if Nintendo just made a home console, or just made a handheld. Your stance is that a hybrid is supposed to make concessions in every more to allow for versatility, whereas the reviewer either doesn't agree, or believes that the concessions outweigh the versatility. This is the kind of opinion you can draw when you actually have experience using the console, rather than the mental picture you have of you playing a Switch and loving every minute of it without a single issue that you're not willing to accept.
TL;DR Just because you're willing to accept the concessions Nintendo had to make to make the Switch doesn't mean the reviewer is wrong for being unwilling to accept them.
