But does Christian teachers today teach stuff like this to children?

Fact is Islam is "Not" a Religion of peace but one of hate.

The is a pretty HUGE difference between the two, and for you two to try paint them the same is just beyond silly.

Who's grasping at straws now? The main force combating ISIS right now are muslims, mainly Kurdish people, Iraqis and Syrians. Muslims overall are as peaceloving as any other. There are some radicals and I do think Islam is in need of a reformation just like what Christianity went through during during the least 500 years. But these religions all have the same issue: Their texts promote violence AND love and contradict themselves all the time.
