Even discounting nostalgia I still think Ocarina wipes the floor with subsequent Zelda games, with its epic sense of adventure, spectacular dungeons, memorable bosses, fantastic music, etc.
The later games, while they excelled in many areas, just didn't quite have the same "complete package" feeling, they all had at least some areas where they fell a little short.
