I agree. Which is why I updated the OP with this data, as it is quite the hidden charge and both competitors have the connection built in all SKUs.

My main worry is having to buy additional joy con's specifically for digimon, pokemon like some drawings which popped up earlier. I can imagine another joy con for fighting games with a proper dpad etc.
