The main body of the Switch is about the same size as a closed 3DS XL, except thinner. By itself you could stick it in your pocket. With the Joy-cons attached it's obviously a lot bulkier, being noticeable bigger than a PS Vita and PSP, but it's still a lot less bulky than the Wii U gamepad, Lynx, or iPad Mini.
