Seems a bit awkward.

The point of the "joycons" was the whole "hey you can play with me" concept. Which sounds like may not work perfectly well for this game.

Seems like there's enough buttons for a single joycon.  There's seven buttons including one for the analog stick and from what I can make out the game needs buttons for punches and curved puches for both arms (4), jumping (1), specials (1) and blocking (1).  That being said, I don't know how dashing works (I assume you double tap on the analog stick for a quick dash) so there might be a need to assign a button for that and maybe do a button combination for curved punches or blocking.
