I think everything will be on Switch in the future because Nintendo needs the Switch to be a success.
2017 - Pokémon Stars (Switch)
2018 - Next Pokémon Generation (Switch)
2019 - Pokémon Diamond / Pearl Remake (Switch)
I think their biggest hurdle is to get the new engine running (since Pokémon was never a game heavy on graphics). Maybe they can test their new engine with Pokémon Stars (if that turns out to be real) and then build on that with a new generation.
