Actually the hybrid system makes perfect sense as home console. That's because it's a clever way to have the device in people's hands. Wii got popular because of people visiting people who had the system, same did the NES. Switch you can take with you and play with a friend or two on the go, and they get a hold of the system. Also the off-TV was a great feature Wii U. Switch looks more like a reaction to trends you see kids doing these days.

Just going by my experience talking with people, most console gamers have no interest in playing a game in the palms of their hands. I didn't think of the sharing angle, though. Pretty smart. If the experience is fun enough I could see that moving some additional units. At least once the price comes down a bit.

One reason why also the DS had so good SW sales was because of the download play, so other DS owners had the game in their hands when playing multiplayer.

It is easier to pick up and play, besides the solution is great for the families. And some youger people moved on their own, do not even have a TV, they just watch IPTV on tablets.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
