Just Dance Wii 2017 million seller?

Look at the sales of Just Dance WiiU vs. Just Dance Wii. Nintendo reinforced the idea that WiiU isn't for the motion-control-crowd and the people heard the message and avoided the system. Same with the sales of Just Dance on PS3/4 , X360 and X1.

I kinda agree with the motion control crowd, but here's my take.

Wii U didn't get much attention because it didn't do anything particularly unique. It was basically 7th gen hardware with touch screen controller. Perhaps Nintendo was too focused on the audience they didn't have. Hence, the average gamer was using gamepads and touch devices so the Wiimotes had to go. But the Wiimotes were actually what made Nintendo unique in the console arena. The Wii U was too expensive and that giant ass controller is less appealing than Wiimotes.

I'm surprised to see Nintendo is still pushing motion controls with Switch. But they dropped the ball with Wii U, they should have continued pushing Wiimotes as the primary controller.
