I really like the tie-break method here as compared to other games.

As for inactivity, I blame the lack of notification in the sign up thread. Sure we got PMs, but I overlooked it and the Buddy is more prominent.

Not a fan of hatmoza's choice, but it's his choice to make.

Vote hatmoza

@bolded I could care less for the vote but tell me what your suggested alternative is if not start the day with my choice of a no lynch.

Well, just as an example, right now you are "strongly irritated" by Swordfish.  If this means you suspect he might be scum, you are now unable to try to lynch him.  Unless you are 100% committed to a Day 1 No Lynch despite ANYTHING that ANYONE might say—unless you are convinced no one could possibly appear as scum to you worthy of lynching—your votes were foolish.  (Or, of course, you're scum.)

In addition to the above, votes or the threat of votes are the traditional way to get people to pay attention who otherwise might blow you off.  Whether that's to root out lurkers or for whatever other reason, having a tangible tool to pressure others into discussion is a pretty valuable tool for someone who's actually town.

Thirdly, I don't know if this was what Stefl was imagining, but suppose that there were two Day 1 lynch trains that developed, and you strongly preferred that whoever was in the lead not be lynched.  You are now unable to sway the lynch to the second train as a suboptimal way to save the person you wanted.  But this is a relatively weak reason because usually No Lynch is a very viable alternative train Day 1, and it appears to be the case this game as well.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.
