I don't think so. Its like how Sony continued ps3 support but it didn't affect the ps4 sales so its the same scenario here. The games on switch will be superior versions compared to 3ds so it would make Nintendo more money and improve their image as well. They need to support their consoles a little longer that is their biggest problem

Not even remotely similar situation; PS4 had massive developer support, Switch does not. Switch needs all the help it can get.

3DS has already had a long lifespan.
