People aren't saying the Switch it too expensive for YOU. You don't need to justify why you're going to buy it.
Nintendo needs a low price to penetrate the casual market, and I think $299 is far too high. That's not even counting the accessories. The price is even more ridiculous in the UK at £280. That's a whole £100 more than the Wii when it launched.
