What worries me is how the controller support is going to be like. From what I've seen, the Switch is incompatible with absolutely every controller Nintendo's ever had - I did expect this to be the case, and personally I'm emotionally ready to switch (not intended) to the new Pro Controller as much as it looks worse than the Wii U one. However, I am concerned for all the people who play Smash on the GameCube controller - what options are they going to have? Is there going to be a new, more expensive GameCube adapter for the Switch since it's incompatible with the already existing one? All of this just bothers me so much. It's honestly stupid how Nintendo is getting rid of all hardware backwards compatibility just to force people to waste money on new controllers. |
They need to just make people play it with the current controllers. The Switch Pro Controller is similar enough to the GC one anyway.
