I've managed to beat

Final Fantasy I (NES)
Final Fantasy IV (SNES)

I hated FFI, but loved FFIV. I'm yet to try any of the other ones. I'm considering buying a couple for the DS though and playing through. I don't think I could ever beat all of them though.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
