Eh, what does Xbox have to do with that?

Point is, if it doesn't matter to you, why even reply? I made my point clear. You think it's unlikely what I am saying? Ok. This is not an "what could've happened if aliens would attack us" but something I think is very likely, given the numbers we have. Apparently this made you pick up my post and even bring XBO into play which seems odd to me as it doesn't have anything to do with what I was addressing.

The XB1 was used just to make a point. To elaborate; we could also say that IF the XB1s wasn't released last year then the XB1 as a whole could have done significantly worse than they did in 2015. But then again, they could also have dropped the price of the XB1 to $150 if they weren't releasing the XB1s last year. Or any number of IF scenarios you can think of.

And I never said it doesn't "matter" to me. I am saying that IF the PS4pro was released or IF it was not released it doesn't matter because so many other things could have happened anyways. IF they didnt make a PS4pro or PSvr, maybe they could have dropped the price of the PS4 to $199 and sales would have been better... then would you have said IF they didn't drop the price of teh PS4 it wouldn't have sold so well? Releasing a PS4pro was part of sonys plan, and that plan would have affected other choices they had to make. So it makes little sense saying if they didnt release it it wont have sold this way or that. Same way it makes NO sense saying MS didn't release the XB1s the Xb1 in general would have sold worse in 2016.

While I can agree that the XB1 has nothing to do with this he was using it to make a comparison so it makes sense.

I think the point was that one can't say that without the Pro that the PS4 would have been down YoY because things would not be the same. Resources would have been used elsewhere. Too many variables for that statement to hold true I guess.

Exactly. Thanks.
