You do realize that 2.5 hours is the bare minimum, making it the literal opposite of the "as much as 2.5 hours" that you're suggesting? It can last up to 6.5 hours, which is exactly the same as the 3DS's battery life. Better, actually, since the 3DS range was up to 5 hours.
