If Nintendo, who are gods amongst men about getting the most out of substandard hardware can't optimize for this thing properly, what hope does any other developer have? I mean it's not like we're talking about something as strange and complex as the CELL processor in the PS3. Nintendo is working directly with nVidia, who have used this chip (or at least chips in its family) in their own portable game hardware for years now. They really should be getting a lot out of the hardware right from the get-go.
Which points to option #2
