I thought so too but the more I think of it the Joycons look like the better deal, to be honest. A pair of Joycons can basically act like two controllers (that's $40 for each controller) and they also come with that little attachment to be more ergonomic (and a wrist strap, yeah!).
The docking station though... I don't know it just seems to be a piece of plastic? Does it have a fan inside or really fancy tech to enable a smooth transition from TV to portable mode? Maybe they have a really small assembly line for the dock and won't be able to produce many so they put a huge price on it or something haha.
