Seems to me like the most popular systems here are 1. PS4 (by a large margin) 2. 3DS 3. XBox One 4. Wii U
Looking at sales .... that seems right around reality. If anything this board is probably over representative of Nintendo fans, there's way more Nintendo fans here than in actual game market, if this forum's chatter was what you based market success on, you would think Nintendo is neck and neck with Sony in the console department when they're a distant third to even MS.
The other main thing this board is out of touch with is mobile gaming ... I think the average gamer plays a hell of a lot more smartphone games than people here do. If VGChartz was reality, you'd see everyone playing on a 3DS or Vita walking down the street and not a smartphone in sight anywhere.
