It's the fact that it finally seems to be the real successor to the Wii. The JoyCons look great and I'm just waiting for more motion controlled games. There are many "retro" games on the Switch already which was part of the Wii strategy. But I still need a new Wii Sports and more games to play with friends. The Switch could be what the successor of the Wii always should have been: Motion controls moving upmarket.
I was bummed after the presentation (because of the price) but when I talked to my friends in the evening they were all totally excited for our local multiplayer sessions to come back - and our gaming group is a well balanced mix of male and female, casual and hardcore gamers.
