I don't think it will make it a hit. but for me it's the only positive think about the switch, switch is that what wiiu should have been in the first place. nintendo introduced the wii and than (almost) ditched everything it made great for massive useless touchpad. I loved the wiimote, I loved sitting with my arms spread and easy point on the display. I loved playing metroid / pikmin with that. and then they ditch it again for a more classic control option and made games like starfox out of it. the problem with the wiimote was, it had not enough buttons and was forced on every possible game, even if it is totally useless like in dkcr. now the joycon have the same button layout like a classic controller (buttons + analog stick, trigger) and still everything good about the wiimote and it's optional. games like dkcr can be played with spread arms and classic controls, while in metroid you can enhance your aim with motions controls.
