I like the concept of the device....

I dislike how they designed it.
if its 299$ because of HD rumble/motion controlls, they wasted way to much money on it.

They could have done the same design and gotten rid of unnessary stuff and had a 199$ price point and been in a much better place with the console.

Agreed. They really screwed up with this price point.  At $199, it would be much easier for gamers to justify the purchase of a second system (in addition to their PS4 or XB1), it would be much easier for kids to convince their parents to buy one for them, and it would be much easier to for casuals to make the impulse buy, or convince themselves its something they really need to own.

At $299, all of those things are much, much harder.  Moms and Dads can pick up a PS4 or XB1 for little Jimmy for less money, and have a much bigger library of low cost games to buy for him.  For gamers, as few exclusives as there are between Sony and MS, we'd still get access to more exclusive games by buying whichever of those consoles we don't already own than by buying a Switch.  Plus, we'd have money leftover for one of those games, and get one packed in with the console.  For casuals, its just a bigger number, so fewer people will be able to justify the purchase.

I think Nintendo really screwed up here.  Of course, lots of things can happen.  We probably won't really know how the Switch is going to do until after holiday 2018.  But, as it stands now, I'm certainly not betting on Nintendo's success.
