I was actually quite surprised by this. By the sounds of it, Nintendo isn't going to put enough effort into online even with paid online, so either the price needs to be very cheap or there has to be a huge effort Nintendo has simply miscommunicated to us. Considering the overall pricing, I'm not sure the price is going to be low, and I don't think Nintendo could have miscommunicated everything this badly either. Long story short, it seems Nintendo is going to have a paid online service that doesn't offer nearly enough buck for the money, which is surprising to me. Of course if it works, it'll be great for Nintendo, but there's been criticism even about better services, so...
